On September 16, the AIF Group and AIDC Group of Companies demonstrated a powerful commitment to national solidarity by jointly pledging 1 billion Kip to support victims of the recent severe floods. The significant donation was formally presented to the National Disaster Management Committee to aid in ongoing relief efforts across affected provinces.
This substantial contribution is designated for providing immediate and essential assistance to families who have been displaced or have lost their homes and livelihoods. A representative for the companies stated, "As part of the Lao community, we feel a profound responsibility to assist our fellow citizens in times of crisis. This fund is intended to help deliver emergency supplies like food, clean water, and shelter to those in desperate need."
The generous pledge from two of Laos' leading corporate groups highlights the critical role of the private sector in national disaster response and recovery, providing crucial resources to help communities rebuild and recover from the devastating impact of the floods.
